Ms. Rhonda, Owner/Director
Rhonda has taught dancing for over 30 years. A graduate of the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy, Ms. Rhonda has performed and taught in the United States and Internationally at many dance and music festivals, including the American Dance Festival, Dance the Divide in Helena Montana, Colorado Dance Festival, Hunter College in New York City, among others . As a professional tap dancer, with Anita Feldman Tap, Rhonda has performed in many NY venues including Lincoln Center Out of Doors, and Central Park Summer Stage. She was also appeared with Anita Feldman at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. Rhonda shares her passion for dance wherever she goes. Rhonda has a B.A. in kinesiology, and is a member of National Dance Educators Organization. Married to Cliff Keljikian, Rhonda has 2 daughters, Hayden, age 15, and Madelyn, age 13.
Miss Alyssa, Dance Instructor
Alyssa Kulp started dancing at the age of three at Premiere Dance Studio in Pottstown, PA. She performed at many competitions, shows, and festivals, and continued dancing through the West Chester University dance program. Alyssa graduated from West Chester University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Education. She continues to dance with the WCU Alumni Dance Company. Alyssa teaches at Great Valley High School in Malvern, and loves to portray her passion of teaching and the art of dance to dance students.
Miss Melissa, Dance Instructor
Melissa Hurley has been teaching dance for the past 6 years, and has been dancing for 19 years. She studied at Art of Dance in Bethlehem, PA for 15 years, where she attended many performances and competitions. Melissa has been a featured dancer in The National Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia, The National Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington D.C. and in the Independence Day Parade in Philadelphia. In her senior year of high school, she started Nazareth YMCA’s first Dance Program. Melissa graduated from West Chester University in May 2014, where she was a Spanish major and a Dance minor, as well as a member of the University Dance Company. Her choreography has been performed in numerous recitals and has won awards at the I Love Dance competition in Harrisburg, as well as being selected to be a part of West Chester University’s Alumni Dance Chapter Winter Dance Festival in January 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Melissa's passion is teaching dance, and she loves being a part of the Time To Leap family!
Miss Ruby, Dance Instructor
Ruby Telthorster has been dancing since the age of 5. She studied dance at The Rock School West and The Dance Center as a member of Brandywine Ballet Theatre for 4 years. Graduate of West Chester University in December 2008 and member of the WCU Dance team for 4 years, Ruby has been teaching dance classes for over 8 years. Ruby is also a certified Pilates instructor and has been teaching for about 5 years.
Miss Melody, Dance Instructor
Melody Stanert hails from West Chester and holds her BA in Dance from Palm Beach Atlantic University. She has been teaching dance in the Southeastern PA area since 2008 and is excited to have joined the TTL instructors this year. Melody trained under numerous instructors most prominently Ballet Russe De Monte Carlo soloist, Edmund Novack, and American Ballet Theater principal, Eileen Houghton-Hebron. In 2010 she interned with Theater Arts Centre in NYC, where she assisted Broadway performers teach choreography to the theater intensive students. When not teaching, Melody can be found choreographing for SALT Performing Arts, performing in musicals, or drinking tea while solving Suduko puzzles. “If you have any talent, that’s God’s gift to you; if you use your talent, that’s your gift to God.” -Red Skelton
Miss Becca, Dance Instructor
Becca Futty has been dancing for over 20 years. The majority of her training came from Rock School West with summer programs at The Rock School, Joffrey Ballet, Orlando Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre. She graduated from West Chester University with a Degree in Theatre and a Minor in Dance. While there she was in a number of shows including Cabaret, The Pajama Game, and multiple shows with University Dance Company. She is now a dance teacher, choreographer, and church secretary; but her most important job remains being a wife and mother!
