Ballet is the foundation of all dance, and is a must for the serious dancer. It enhances grace, posture, discipline, core strength, flexibility and more. Dancers also get to enjoy the rich tradition and history of ballet.

Elementary Ballet Age Requirements:

Dancer must have completed Combo curriculum or equivalent for entry to this class and is for dancers ages 7-10. This is NOT a beginner class. Dancers must be at least 7 by September 1st, and going into 2nd grade. All participants must have prior experience.

2023-24 Elementary Ballet Schedule:

Monday Group A    5:15pm - 6:00pm

Monday Group B    5:15pm - 6:00pm

Thursday Group B  5:15pm - 6:00pm

Thursday Group A  6:00pm - 6:45pm

(Additional classes may be added. *A/B groupings are used to maintain class size. Days and times are subject to change.)

Our year long curriculum is based on a 34-week season, which includes class instruction, dress rehearsal time, and picture day. Season 11 begins on Friday, September 8th, 2023.

 

Ballet Dress Code:

Dancers should wear any color leotard, tights, optional ballet skirt or spandex dance shorts. Girls should wear pink leather ballet shoes. Boys should wear black leather ballet shoes, black leggings, jazz pants, or spandex dance shorts with a white or plain black or TTL t-shirt that is not too loose. Shoes should be purchased from a dance store, such as Definitely Dance in Exton, to ensure proper style, color and fit. Long hair should be tied back. Advanced level dancers are expected to have hair in a bun.
